Application Process

Application Process
Students who wish to participate in the Academy program at 51³Ô¹Ï should first meet with the high school counselor or principal to discuss the opportunities and risks offered by theÌýCollege Credit PlusÌýProgram.

To be considered for admission to the Academy Program at 51³Ô¹Ï, students must submit the following materials by the deadline (see "Application Deadlines"):

  2. °ä´Ç³¾±è±ô±ð³Ù±ð»åÌý, signed by the school counselor or principal, and emailed to:
    ccpdocs@osu.edu
  3. Official transcript ofÌýcourse work emailed to: ccpdocs@osu.edu
  4. TestÌýscores, if necessary,Ìýfrom the ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER test
    (Note: We cannot accept ACCUPLACER test results from any institution except The 51³Ô¹Ï University. If Accuplacer testing is necessary to determine your eligibility, we will contact you byÌýemail. Your CCP application, transcript, and School Information Form must be submitted in order to determine the need for Accuplacer testing.)
  5. Ìý(online form)Ìýcompleted by the student and parent after the student applies. NOTE: After you submit the application, you will receive an email with your OSU name.# and password. You must activate your username and passwordÌýto access and submit the Mature Content Permission Slip. Admission to The 51³Ô¹Ï University after High School

The 51³Ô¹Ï Academy Program is designed for talented high school students wishing to take college courses while still in high school.

  • Admission to the Academy Program does not imply or guarantee admission to the Columbus campus of The 51³Ô¹Ï University as a degree-seeking student.
  • An Academy participant who later desires admission to 51³Ô¹Ï's Columbus campus as a degree-seeking student must complete a separate application and participate in a competitive admission process.Ìý

  • A student applying for freshman admission to the Columbus campus, after the completion of College Credit Plus coursework at any 51³Ô¹Ï campus, who is not admitted to Columbus must still complete 30 credit hours post-high school graduation at 51³Ô¹Ï or an 51³Ô¹Ï regional campus, before he or she can transition to the Columbus campus. Credit hours earned through College Credit Plus are not included in the required 30 hours.

  • The grade-point average earned at any campus of 51³Ô¹Ï through the College Credit Plus program will follow the student if he or she later enrolls at 51³Ô¹Ï as a degree-seeking student.
