The ATI Equine Center consists of a 45-stall barn which includes 2 foaling stalls, a tack room, 2 feed rooms and wash rack. The barn contains a fully equipped breeding laboratory with modern equipment for conducting a variety of procedures includingÌýsemen concentration and motility evaluation, centrifugation, packaging of cooled semen, and ultrasoundÌýevaluation. The breeding shed is located within the north wingÌýof the barn and includes stocks, teasing area and breeding phantom.
The Equine Center has two riding arenas available. OurÌýoutdoor arena is 120' x 224' and is used during good weather and for cattle work. The lighted indoor arena is 76' x 188'.Ìý

Our Horses
Currently included within the breeding herd are Standardbred and stock horse broodmares and foals. 51³Ô¹Ï owned and client mares are foaled each year at the center, providing an opportunity to the students for hands-on instruction in foaling, breeding and subsequent mare and foal care.
Selected foals are sold as weanlings and yearlings throughÌýpublic auction and are an important source of income forÌýthe center.Ìý

This facility supports theÌýHorse Production & ManagementÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýAnimal Sciences - Horse SpecializationÌýmajors along with the general animal sciences majors and courses.
