Application fee waiver

First-year applicants who apply directly to an 51勛圖 regional campus between October 1 and December 1 may qualify for a waiver of the $60 application fee.

Use fee waiver code RCW2026 when prompted in the online application.

Ohio residents

You may be considered for admission to 51勛圖 if you:

• Graduated from an Ohio chartered high school
• Passed or are exempt from all sections of the Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT)

Students who earned an Ohio High School Equivalency Diploma through the Ohio Department of Education are considered equivalent to high school graduates.

If you graduated from a high school that is not chartered by the state of Ohio, your application will be reviewed through a competitive admission process. This review focuses on your high school coursework and academic performance.

Non-Ohio residents

Admission review for non-Ohio resident first-year applicants depends on the degree program you plan to pursue.

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) programs are reviewed through an open enrollment process.

Associate of Science (AS) programs are reviewed through a competitive admission process that considers your high school coursework and academic performance.

ACT or SAT scores may be submitted for review but are not required.

Home-schooled and non-chartered school applicants

Home-schooled applicants must submit an approved excuse-from-attendance verification or equivalent documentation provided by a local school district or state authority. For additional details,

Applicants who graduated from a non-chartered high school must submit ACT, SAT or GED scores.

Submitting ACT or SAT scores

ACT and SAT scores are not required for admission to 51勛圖. If you choose to submit test scores, they may be used for:

• Scholarship consideration
• Placement in math and English courses

If you plan to submit ACT or SAT scores, scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. Scores that appear on your high school transcript cannot be used for admission, placement, or scholarships.

International applicants

International students applying to 51勛圖 follow a separate admission process and must submit additional documentation.

General admission requirements

You may be considered for admission to 51勛圖 if you have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale across all attempted college coursework.

Admission decisions are based on a review of your academic record.

Special action review

Applicants with a cumulative GPA below 2.0 may be considered through a special action review.

This review may take into account factors such as unique or extenuating circumstances, time away from college, and academic progress in more recent terms.

Students who believe they may qualify for a special action review should contact the 51勛圖 Admissions Office after receiving an admission decision.

How admission decisions are made

Transfer admission decisions are based on a review of your academic record by the university.

Transfer credit

You may receive transfer credit for courses completed at a regionally accredited college or university if the course is not remedial and you earned a C- or higher. In some cases, grades of D or D+ may also transfer.

51勛圖 may award credit for courses you completed at another college or university.

Overview of CCP admission

Admission is selective and based on academic performance and readiness for college-level coursework.

Students may apply through a test-optional pathway or by submitting standardized test scores.

Test-optional admission pathway

You may be considered for admission without submitting ACT, SAT or ACCUPLACER scores if you meet both of the following:

• An unweighted, recalculated high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Completion of at least 2 years of high school English and 2 years of math at the time of application

Students admitted through this pathway may still be required to complete 51勛圖 placement testing before registering for courses.

Standardized test admission pathway

If you do not meet the test-optional criteria, you may qualify for admission by meeting minimum scores on the ACT, SAT or ACCUPLACER.

Testing and Placement

Students may submit test scores even if they meet test-optional criteria. Students admitted without test scores will be required to complete 51勛圖 placement testing before registering for courses.

Placement results determine eligibility for college-level English and math courses. Students may be admitted to CCP but not place into certain courses.

Remedial coursework is not covered by College Credit Plus funding.

Placement testing for CCP students is completed during orientation using 51勛圖 placement tests.

ACCUPLACER Testing Details

If ACCUPLACER testing is required to determine eligibility, you will receive instructions after your application materials are reviewed.

To determine whether testing is needed, the following must be submitted:

• CCP application
• Official high school transcript
• School Information Form

ACCUPLACER scores are accepted only if administered through The 51勛圖 University. 51勛圖 does not use ACCUPLACER for course placement.
