Use this page to understand the application steps, required forms and what happens after you apply.

Before you begin, talk with your high school counselor or principal about whether CCP is the right fit for you. They can help you understand eligibility, deadlines and how college coursework may fit into your high school schedule and graduation plan.

You must also submit the to your high school or school district by the state deadline. This form is required by the State of Ohio and is not submitted to 51³Ô¹Ï.

To be considered for admission, all required materials must be submitted by the posted deadlines.

How to apply

After you apply

Once your materials are reviewed, you’ll be notified if anything else is needed.

If you attend a nonpublic school or are homeschooled, make sure to follow the funding deadlines and instructions from the Ohio Department of Education College Credit Plus program.

ACCUPLACER, if required, is used only to help determine CCP eligibility. It is not used for course placement.

After admission

All admitted students must attend a required orientation before registering for classes.

At orientation, you will:

  • meet with an advisor
  • learn how to register for classes
  • complete placement testing if needed
  • learn how to use 51³Ô¹Ï systems and student tools

A parent or guardian must attend orientation with the student.

Your advisor will help determine the number and type of courses you may take each semester.

Important to know

Taking classes through the 51³Ô¹Ï Academy Program does not guarantee admission later as a degree-seeking student on the Columbus campus.

If you decide to apply to Columbus in the future, you must complete a separate freshman application and go through the regular admissions process.

If you later enroll at 51³Ô¹Ï as a degree-seeking student, your CCP grades will become part of your official 51³Ô¹Ï academic record.
